How do I sign my child(ren) up?
Download the application online, and bring it into our main site for processing.

What is the cost to become a member?
The cost is $20 per calendar year.

How old does my child have to be to enroll?
The Club accepts members ages 7 to 18, unless they participate in our K-1 program. K-1 members are 5 and 6 years old.

Is daily attendance required?
No, we have an open door policy. Read more about our Open Door Policy below!

Do you provide meals/snacks?
• Yes, during the academic school year we provide daily snack.

• During our summer CAMP GREAT program breakfast, lunch, snack are provided.

Policies

Membership Card
• All members must bring their current Boys & Girls Club card with them every time they attend the club. Their card is their passport to all the Club’s activities. Members without cards will not have access to programs. Lost cards may be replaced for $1.00. Members must sign in when they arrive.
Equipment Checkout
• One of the purposes of the Club card is to allow members to check out equipment, games, and other Club items. When a member checks out equipment with their card, they are agreeing to be responsible for the item they check out. When a member is finished playing, all equipment must be in the same condition, as when it was checked out. Parents will be responsible for the cost of damaged equipment.
Visitors and Guests
• Anyone between the ages of 7-18 is invited to visit the Club. All guests must check in at the security entrance. All adults must check in at the security entrance and be prepared to provide proof of identification. Guest will be buzzed inside the facility.
Discipline
• The Boys & Girls Clubs of La Habra does not tolerate any behavior that takes away the rights of other members or Staff. Club members are expected to behave in a respectable manner. It is the primary responsibility of the Staff to ensure a safe environment for all members. Any other matters will be referred to the Program Director. Infractions of Club rules may result in losing Club privileges and/or temporary or permanent suspension from the Club.
Telephone
• The telephone is for emergency use only. This applies to all calls coming in or going out of the Club. Examples of emergencies are: a member is not feeling well, a member needs to be home and his/her ride is more than 30 minutes late, a parent must unexpectedly change arrangements for pick-up.
Attendance Policy
• A Club member who has not attended school, due to illness or truancy, may not attend the Club that day. The Club has a schedule of the school’s minimum days, pupil free day, etc., and will be open to the members on these days.
Open Door Policy
• The Boys & Girls Clubs of La Habra’s main site has an “Open Door Policy.” Members must sign in when they arrive. However, they are free to enter and exit the facility. It is imperative that parents/guardians instruct their child as to whether or not they may leave the Club. We do not encourge members to leave the facility.
Late Pick Up Policy
• Members will be transported by authorized Boys & Girls Clubs of La Habra’s Staff member to the La Habra Police Department, if the member is not picked up by 6:45 pm
Membership Dress & Grooming
• While at the Club or any sponsored event, members and guests shall be dressed in a manner benefiting the Boys & Girls Club as determined by the staff. The following are not allowed
• Attire or accessories which:
• Are considered unsafe, dangerous, or a health hazard.
• Contains offensive or obscene symbols or signs.
• Contains language or symbols oriented toward gangs, sex, drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.
• Contains gang, tagger, crew, and/or clique symbols.
• Other unacceptable items are:
• Tube tops, open toe shoes, clothing that expose midriff, low cut shirts or blouses, and shorts that expose the buttocks, gang related apparel, i.e., hairnets, beanies, and bandanas.
Personal Items
• The Club is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items. Parents, please encourage your child/ren to leave valuable things at home. Also, it is important that all money, I.D. cards, wallets, electronics, etc., be kept in the member’s possession at all time and not left in backpacks or purses. Simple precautions will eliminate potential theft problems. We also encourage members to write their names on all personal items such as backpacks, folders, and books, etc. Any unclaimed personal items will be donated at the end of each semester to a local charity.
Snack Machines
• Coin operated snacks and drink machines are provided for members. The club is not responsible for money deposited into these machines. Food and drinks must stay in the designated areas. A free afternoon snack is provided Monday – Friday between 3:45 pm – 4:00 pm.
Afternoon Snack
• A free snack is provided Monday – Friday. Snack is served between 3:45 pm – 4:00 pm at our main site. Snack is distributed at 3:00 pm at all ASES K-5 grade sites and at 4:00 pm at our ASES middle school sites.
Club Rules
These are Club rule violations:
1. Running in the Club (Running allowed in Gyms)
2. Fighting, pushing, intimate touching, or kicking of any kind
3. Gum chewing
4. Sitting on tables or equipment
5. Profanity and hand gestures
6. Misuse of equipment
7. Food and Drinks outside of Snack Bar
8. Disrespecting Staff or fellow members
9. Operating stereo, video, television, or P.A. equipment without authorization
10. Possession or use of nonprescription drugs, alcoholic beverages
11. Weapons of any kind for any purpose in the Club
12. Bathroom vandalism, including the willful stoppage of toilets, sinks, spitballs, and the removal of bathroom property
